Our Mission
Pallbearers of America’s mission is to serve families in need during
their time of bereavement through financial and social support.
Who We Are
According to the National Funeral Home Association, the national median cost of a funeral in 2012 was $7,045. If a vault was included, the price increased to $8,343. Indeed, funerals have become more expensive throughout the years, and some families opt out of a life insurance expense for various reasons.
Pallbearers of America is a national non-profit that was formed in 2015 to help families cope with the loss of family members by providing financial and social support.
Families that do not have a life insurance policy for a deceased loved one can apply to receive financial aid up to $2,500 to help with final expenses. In addition, families that have life insurance policies that do not cover the entire funeral expense can also apply for assistance up to $1,000.
Through the provisions of these supportive services, Pallbearers of America aims to:
- Enhance surviving family members’ lives by providing small grants to relieve the financial burdens of uninsured final expenses.
- Increase awareness of the need for end-of-life planning.
- Build long-standing partnerships with other organizations in the community that share the same vision.
